I know I know I’ve been slacking! It’s hard getting back into the creative mindset once you’re head has been filled with Christmas songs, presents, wrapping paper, board games and your tummy filled with cheese and chocolate! (Of course not together, unless you’re into that kind of thing)
Today’s post is an OOTD that I really was feeling and had a few comments on when posting on my snap.
The main body of this outfit is this grey flannel check shirt dress. This dress is so comfy and can be worn so many different ways. You can wear it super casual or dress it up with boots and even a belt. It is rare to find a dress that you can envision being worn casually, dressed up or even worn for work. It’s a great length too. I’m loving that longer at the back, shorter at the front style that has been seen in a lot of dresses the past few seasons. This one is from my good trusty Zara.
I accessorised with a choker. I love chokers for adding that extra something to an outfit. This one has a bit of glitz to it as well. I get asked frequently where I get my chokers from because there seems to be this idea that chokers in stores are quite expensive. I tend to buy mine in boutiques or Depop but this one is from a multipack in Primark. They have some great ones and for a fraction of the price. Check them out. This one also has a velvet touch too.
Something I don’t usually wear but thought I would try seeing as fashion isn’t always about staying in your comfort zone. Baker boy hats have been a growing trend in recent months and with all my style icons sporting one I thought it was my time. This one is from Topshop and is material but the leather ones are super cute as well. Perfect for a bad hair day; in fact I might need to invest in a few more.
I could have gone classic and worn my heeled leather boots or even my knee highs with this outfit but I decided to take it edgy. I paired this look with my chunky block heeled buckle boots. These are a few seasons ago from New Look but they are so comfortable and always seem to come back round in style and edge up an outfit. But I’ve linked an alternative that I think are just as fab.
Finally I used my fave red Gucci bag to add a pop of colour to a very grey and winter typical outfit. I love this bag, after using it for a few months now. I have found it fits so much in it which for seeming like a small bag I was surprised about.
