Today was one of my favourite days ever! There’s no doubt about it. As you will know if you read yesterday’s post, I am currently in Milan, Italy with my boyfriend James.
Today was our first day fully exploring the city and it couldn’t have been more fabulous. We decided to do the hop on hop off bus tours as they are pretty cheap with the vouchers we had from our hotel and honestly the best way to get around. One of the stops is a 3 minute walk from our hotel so it was only right we travelled this way. They give you a headset and it’s full of history and facts about what you’re seeing as the bus goes by and you can get off at a series of stops along the way.
We decided to get off the Duomo which is the cathedral and tourist location in Milan. After gazing at the buildings beauty for a while we looked at the queue and decided purchasing a skip the queue ticket from the app the hotel told us about and the one we used to get our bus tickets was best. So we purchased these and decided to go do some shopping while we waited for the tickets to download.
The Galleria Vittoro Emanuale was where we headed next which is just next to the Duomo and is the most beautiful shopping location building I’ve ever seen. We had a browse through the stores and fell in love with too many things.
Not too far from is the Armani megastore which holds the Armani store, make up, library, caffe, restaurant, hotel and spa. Truly the most amazing and all in one store I’ve been to. We had a browse and James found me the most gorgeous trainers which he then very kindly treated me to. I honestly am so grateful to be in this beautiful city let alone shop like this. We then had a coffee and hot choccy in the Armani cafe and lots of photos and memory pieces were taken.
After Armani we walked back up to the Duomo and went into the Milan Cathedral which we were so glad we did. The architecture was just beautiful and although James and I aren’t entirely religious, the beauty of the place really touched our thoughts and hearts.
We then went to the terraces of the cathedral which was insane. Honestly a must do thing if you’re coming to Milan. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and the weather was definitely on our side. We just sat there at the top and looked at the views which was just incredible. After this we shared a Italian pizza which was too die for and honestly Dominos doesn’t stand a chance next to this!
Shortly after we got the hop on hop off bus back to our hotel and got ready for the evening. We went to this gorgeous little Italian near our hotel where we both had pasta and a couple glasses of vino to finish off the day.
In terms of outfits today, I wore the Amie set from Dolcie Fashion Instagram and Depop boutique which is this gorgeous knitted peplum dress and cardigan two piece. I love this two piece because it is so classic yet so fashionable as well. It can be dressed up or down and styled so many ways. The material is just gorgeous took so thick and great quality. I wore this with my studded belt and metallic loafers both from a Topshop. I then accessorised with my J necklace from accessorise and my trusty Gucci bag.
This evening I styled this my Starzia from Cosmic Edge Instagram and Depop boutique. I love this top, it can be dressed up or down but shimmers just gorgeously under the light. It also combines two of my favourite trends right now, cosmic futuristic and metallic as well as ruffles! Great for those upcoming Christmas parties if I do say so myself. I’ve styled this with my Missguided bralet underneath although you could style this look with a vest for a more daytime look or just a bralet or bra underneath when it comes to evening. I then paired the Starzia top with my Topshop black Joni jeans and these metallic heels from Topshop also. In terms of accessorises I wore this diamanté choker from Elle Boutique down my local high street and my Flicker bag also from Cosmic Edge Fashion. The bag perfectly complimented the shimmer in this top as well. Loved the shimmer in this evening, feels so glam.
Stay Sassy angels and don’t forget to check back in tomorrow for another Milan outfit and adventure!
